My wife and I Decided to get a home but had to work on our credit. But Meanwhile Leah Gave us 100% of her focus. We looked for about 6-7 months going all over the place with her. I have heard horror stories about realtors bringing people to homes way outside their budget or range from work, but this was not the case with Leah Davis. She regularly updated the Portal they have on Berkshire Hathaway's website that worked very well, also we were able to look on our own and send her listings, she would do the leg work on and get us in to look. Local knowledge Leah brought us to listings in a huge range of areas in our driving distance from my wife's work, and in every case she knew about the area the lifestyles and businesses. Process expertise My wife and I were 1st time home buyers and New next to nothing about the process and even things about homes to look for, no worries for us though walking through with her was like walking around with a licensed contractor. Her knowledge was very extensive even to the point of un-needed for some which was great for us because we needed info about everything. Responsiveness Due to the amount of time we spent searching and getting our credit up we were able to schedule a lot of face time with her and many locations on our list. Sometimes we were not very interested in the property but wanted to see an area and figured why not look at a house why we were out there. No worries again she was fast to respond and meet us out there she would even say that she didn't mind because its just another house to look at for her incase someone else was interested. Negotiation skills 10 out of 5 stars on this The house we settled on was perfect for what we wanted, that being said it was a nightmare getting it closed on. Between me using a VA loan which comes with its own barriers, we also had very troubling issues with our inspector and the Tenants. after a few weeks of back and fourth we had to get extensions on our mortgage approval then there was title issues and all of this kept costing us money for re-inspections and then extensions. all that she was on top of and made sure the home owner agreed to comp us and make our transition easier. Even to the point when we had to move out of our apartment and move in to our home as a "Rental" for almost a month while the title issue was resolved. but in the end she was our champion and now we have a great home and beautiful 6 month old baby girl and coming up on a year in our home. I have to say thank you for everything Leah has done for us and her team at Berkshire Hathaway.
